Independent Studio Membership

The next round of applications for S.P.A. Memberships will open in the autumn of 2026.

The ideal candidates are Still Point alumni who have demonstrated care and attention to detail with regard to honoring studio policies, working clean, conserving resources and participating positively in our group classes. They value quality over quantity. Perhaps to them, time inside of the clay is a healing modality, or access to creative community, or a simply a therapeutic respite from a busy life, but it is not merely a hobby.

Prerequisites for membership are:

Successful participation in at least two Still Point courses of six weeks or longer
A positive referral from an instructor
Attending a prospective member orientation
Successful completion of a 3-month Tier 1 trial qualifies one to request an upgrade to Tier 2 or VIP status.

Members may purchase cone 5/6 clay bodies from us for studio use. Currently we offer Standard Brown 112 and Laguna Bmix with or without grog, although other clay bodies may be added to the inventory in the fall.

Membership tiers are as follow:

Tier 1 Members

A small cubby/ware shelf
Intermediate wheel access during one adult class per week
Access wheels and glazes during weekly member meetups
Discounts on classes and special events
3-month trial membership

Tier 2 Members (have completed Tier 1)

A medium cubby/ware shelf
Intermediate wheel access during two adult classes per week
Access wheels and glazes during weekly member meetups
Discounts on classes and special events
May purchase discounted membership access for 6-12 months

VIP Members (have completed Tier 1 plus SPA Club Orientation)*

A large cubby/ware shelf
Access to professional wheels and glazes during any adult group class time
Access to wheels and glazes during weekly member meetups
Coffee/Tea bar
Discounts on classes and special events

*Minimum 3-month package required

VIP - Elite Members*

Have been members in good standing for six months or longer and wish to apply for full studio access

A large cubby/ware shelf
Access to professional wheels and glazes during any adult group class time
Access to wheels and glazes during weekly member meetups
After hours access to the studio
Coffee/Tea bar
Discounts on classes and special events
A dedicated "half moon" kiln shelf every 2 weeks
